Intro

This GW we see a full J1 league schedule. It has been a busy schedule for most clubs with most playing 3-4 games in quick succession. This means, I expect some rotation especially for clubs like Frontale who have played their strongest team in the last two games.

I have made the predicted lineups for games on the Sorare Sharp app which can be found here:

I have also copy pasted the image of the lineups incase you have difficulty accessing the app. I would recommend checking the app though as it will show other options that could play for each player.

Important to note the %s used here and where they are not above 75% it is because I feel there is some risk involved. My main aim with these is to show where risk/potential DNPs are lurking.

I base these %s on info I read from various sources including comments from the manager and reading a lot of local Japanese news coverage/message boards.

These are my own opinion of the situation at each team. I try to be as neutral as possible but we all have biases :) So always do your own research when making picks! I may well miss something but a lot of times its due to lack of information where we get "surprise" DNPs

Player Suspensions & Injuries

I have made a new page on the site that has all known player injuries. It can be found here

J1 League GW272

Hiroshima vs Kyoto

Shimizu vs Nagoya

C.Osaka vs G. Osaka

  • Harakawa was surprisingly missing last week. Initially fans assumed he was rested. However, I have not seen him in training pics and he wasnt in the squad for the cup game. I therefore see him a big doubt for this game unless I see something before the deadline.

  • As always I highly suggest this blog for in depth info for this game

  • Gamba do have covid cases and as usual for Japan, no names given. He is the suspected cases according to the blog post above

ree

Tokyo vs Kashiwa

ree

  • Morishige returned and played the first half of the cup game. I expect him to start here and hopefully he isnt being rushed back!

  • Matsuki and Adailton will be pushing for a start here though im more confident with Matsuki

ree

Shonan vs Kobe

ree

  • Tanaka played in the cup game and the second half last week. In general, Yonemoto and Tanaka havent started together hence the lower %s above. You can use the app to see what alternatives could happen

ree

  • Kobe despite losing in the last minute midweek are looking much better. I can see rotation in this game, in particular Iniesta and Goke could well be changed depending on their condition.

  • Osako hasnt been seen in training so I see him unlikely to start this one.

Urawa vs Kashima Antlers

ree

  • Esaka has been seen in training so the feeling is that he was rested the last game. Though at the moment its very hard to know for certain so I would be cautious here.

  • I see Moberg starting and depending on Junkers condition, Schalk could be pushing for a start

  • Ohata is in training but for the time being ive left him out

  • Ito was also missing last game and I havent found any concrete info. Iwao came off the bench and I can see him starting in midfield and see it as a coin toss between the players

  • Sekine has been playing alot of mins so Matsuo could come in. Recently he has been used as a sub which has been effective too

ree

Sagan vs Kawasaki

ree

  • Nishikawa and Miyashiro both appeared in the cup game. Its unknown why they were missing but its great to see them both in the squad.

  • Miyashiro is unable to play due to being on loan from Frontale

  • Fujita played the full 90 in the cup game and thats why I dont have him starting

  • V hard to call who will start between Kakita and On - can see it going either way

ree

  • I can see rotation for Frontale this game. Going by the trends for this manager in general - I see all the below players who came on as subs in the previous game all pushing for starts

ree
  • Its very hard to predict how much rotation will happen. My hunch is Tano and Ienaga are in particular vulnerable to being rested. I can also see Schmidt, Kobayashi and Chinen coming in for this one

Fukuoka vs Yokohama FM

ree

  • As always, its very difficult to pick the 2 CB starters. There is no clear trend and I can see it going both ways for each player

ree

  • Muscat has repeated he wants to keep players fresh so I expect changes again for YFM

  • Eduardo and M.Junior should come in after being subs in the last game

  • Lopes has played alot of mins but is in excellent form so can see him starting again depending. He is a rotation risk for sure though. With him, I usually play regardless as he can do well from the bench

  • Elber is still not in full training

  • Iwata returned as a sub last game so i see him pushing for a start. He could even replace Hatanaka who has also played alot of mins

  • I have found no update on Nagato yet but note he wasnt in training pics from yesterday so assume he isnt available for this game.

Jubilo Iwata vs Hokkaido Sapporo

ree

ree

  • Miyazawa is suspended for this game

  • Takamine went off with an injury last game and I havent seen him in training so assume is out

  • Takuma Arano hurt his ankle and was missing from the last game. He was seen in training but im unsure if hes fit enough to start.
